The Rangers punched their ticket to the World Series on Monday night with a dominant 11-4 victory over the Astros in Game 7 of an ALCS that saw the road team win every game.
It was a devastating loss for the Astros, who dropped the final two games of the series at home after battling back from an 0-2 deficit. Houston, of course, won the World Series last season and had played in it in three of the last four years.
One player that likely won’t forget the Game 7 loss any time soon is center fielder Chas McCormick, who will have a bruise on his leg for quite some time that will remind him of the loss.
In case you missed it, Rangers reliever Aroldis Chapman hit McCormick with a 104-mph pitch in the bottom of the eighth inning of an 11-3 game.
This looked like it hurt:

"Well, it was disappointing end to the season. We had a good run but came up just short. Hopefully I can finish strong with a base hit or someth–" https://t.co/E7oWLTA3fk
