Pablo Sandoval had a decorated major league career. He was a three-time World Series champion, World Series MVP, and two-time All-Star.
On Saturday, he added to his accomplishments by being the first player to ever hit a six-run home run in the Middle East and South Asian based Baseball United.
Throughout the game, there are occasional “moneyballs” that are put in play. If a home run is hit off of a moneyball, then it counts for twice as much as it normally would have.
Competing in Baseball United’s “All-Star Showcase,” Sandoval came up with two-on and no-outs in the top of the fifth inning for the “United East” All-Star team with the score knotted at two, and absolutely crushed a moneyball to right-center for the historic six-run blast.
