Chicago Cubs legend Sammy Sosa is back in the Windy City this weekend, and he could not have been more uncomfortable when asked Friday about his rumored use of steroids.
Sosa, who had a falling out with the Cubs franchise due in large part to the fact that he hasn’t owned up to his alleged use of performance-enhancing drugs, said that he was open to a reconciliation with Chicago.
“Well like I said, I’m a mature man,” Sosa said. “I think that’s a possibility that we can do that. I’m open. I don’t have a problem with that. I had a lot of misunderstandings in the past but now I’m a real man. I feel great. I recognize my mistake. So, why not?”

When asked directly whether or not he used steroids, Sosa stumbled over his words before turning the tide on the reporter.
“This is … um … like I say … um,” Sosa stumbled. “This is not a question I expected from you. This is not an interview that I’m really going to sit down with you, you know, for you to come out, you know, with that piece right now. But like I said, I’m a mature man. I feel great. And let’s see what happens.”
Time will tell if Sosa is truly up for a reunion with Cubs ownership.
